Edwardian walking gown, representing late 1890s – early 1900s exaggerated silhouette and contrasting materials textures. Sparkling jacquard, smooth plisse satin with gentle shine and viscose velvet for depth of the look.
The gown consists of two separate pieces – bodice and skirt. The bodice closes on assymetrical pin buttons from neck to waist – a trend of the late 19th – early 20th century. The bodice is fully lined with 100% cotton. The sleeves are made narrow to keep the historical silhouette, but since they are bias cut and stretchy, they fit beautifully. The skirt is full and made after 1900s patterns to keep the hourglass silhouette.
