Seventeenth Century Linen Peasant Costume, 1600s Mayflower Witch Outfit, 17th century SCA Gown

Perfect occasion to feel yourself “A Girl With a Pearl Earring” or the 1600s witch. The jacket is made after English and Dutch 1630s patterns, the matching skirt and the apron are the markers of the working woman – maybe a maid or a wife of the artisan.

The costume consists of the jacket, skirt and apron. The headwear is to be purchased separately.
The jacket is inspired by ‘A Girl with a Pearl Earring’ film costume. It is made of brown linen and is fully lined. The jacket closes on front lacing, the eyelets are hand-stitched.

The skirt is made of woolen fabric and is also lined. The girdle is corsetted and can adjust on the figure and make it gracer.

The apron is made of linen.

The costume is to be worn with period undergarnments, such as chemise, corset and bumroll.
