The late Regency dress has all the marks 1820s gown would have. Lowered waistline is higher than natural waist would be, but lower the Regency waist was – just on the lowest ribs. It has a padded hem to create a proper form, though the skirt is also supported by the corded underdress (not included to listing, but may be purchased separately). Puffy sleeves and plain decollete line also mark the 1820-1825 silhouette.
The dress is closed with lacing on the back, the bodice has plastic boning and soft white cotton lining. The dress itself is made of dense texture cotton with polished face.
The gown was designed to be worn with proper period undergarnments – corset and corded underdress or petticoat, but may be worn without them as well.
