Historical Linen Shirt, 15th Century SCA Chemise, Burgundian Medieval Underwear

$120.00$135.00

Linen chemise to go with North European costume of 15th century. Wider hem, narrow sleeves, modest decollete

SKU: N/A Category:

White long linen chemise is an obligate undergarment for every medieval or Renaissance costume. This one is designed after 15th century Burgundian and French sources – you can find lots of similar chemises on images from the Duc de Berry’s ‘Très Riches Heures’ and on Rogier van der Weyden paintings. Chemise with narrow sleeves should be worn underneath the traditional peasant and townswomen’s dress (kirtle).

This chemise is sewn after graphic and archeological sources’ patterns. It’s made of linen and has a rather low neckline both on the front and on back. It also has two short cuts down the both sides seams.

There are different sizes available, so please don’t hesitate writing me which one you need. You can also choose its colour, length, front and back decollete deep and other options setting a custom order.

This chemise will be perfect not only with the upper dress, but it also can be used like a separate item. Looks perfect on the historical or ethnic festival, as a carnival dress and even as a stage costume for Christmas and St.Lucia performances
