Black Victorian dress made of dense satin and plisse frills is a perfect choice for 1870s – 1880s balls, fairs and other events. It can also make an unforgettable appearance at the steampunk or gothic convent, vampire ball or Halloween witch party.
The dress consists of a skirt and a bodice, which are worn separately. The bodice has plastic boning and 100% cotton lining. It closes on back lacing. The skirt has two side ‘wings’, huge back folds and a train. Three kinds of lace is used on the outfit. Please, mind that the central brooch is not for sale and is not included in a set.
The dress is designed to be worn with proper historical undergarnments: ‘omar tail’ bustle, taffeta petticoat and a corset. They all are not included in the listing, though can be added to the set. See for the corset here.
Although at least corset and bustle are needed to create a specific 1880s shape, the dress can be also worn without undergarnments, as the bodice is rather rough itself.
A custom copy of your size can be made. Other colours and materials are available
