Late Victorian 1890s rich fuchsia colour high end couture beaded gown with black accents. Made to fit the recognizable silhouette of the Gilded Age with its mutton sleeves and A-skirt, hourglass shaped figure and low decollete lines.
The gown is made of polished cotton with medium shine and a good weight, imitating the original fabrics of Victorian dresses. Tulle and lace make contrasting accents you would easily find in any Belle Epoque gown. The dress consists of two separate items – bodice and skirt. The skirt has two layers fixed on one girdle and can work with other tops as well, which allows to reach a nice variety.
The bodice is corsetted and closes on back lacing with wide modesty panel underneath. If you don’t want to acquire Victorian corset separately, you may skip this step, as this dress bodice has steel boning, uplifting the bust and reducing the waist almost as good as an original 1890s corset. The bodice front has an intricate decoration with crystals and beads in the form of drops.
The sleeves are made of two layered tulle, decorated with drapings and Czech crystal beads. They give the popular late Victorian – early Edwardian mutton sleeve silhouette.
