Dark romance Regency dress made in lightweight burgubdy taffeta and decorated with black lace. Will suit wonderfully for 1810s dancing events, as an opera gown or as historical look for period photoshoot.
The dress is made in lightweight taffeta, which drapes rather stiff. The bodice and sleeves are lined with black cotton batiste. The decolette line and waistline have drawstrings for better fit regulation, the bodice is closed on metal grommets lacing and has modesty panel underneath, which allows the gown to be rather adjustable.
The skirt and sleeves are decorated with intricate black lace and lighter shade velvet ribbon. The bodice has black lace decoration as well.
The gown is made according to the later Regency fashion silhouette, the underbust line is closer to waist than in the previous period of 1800s, the skirt is floor length and don’t have a train. Puffy sleeves make the silhouette to look closer to hourglass shape.
