Tudor dressing robe made in dark red taffeta. The coat is not lined, only the collar and front openings reinforced for making a good shape. Has a small train and looks well worn as a coat over corseted dresses as well as a dressing robe over chemise (shirt). Puffed sleeves follow the 1500s English fashion, though can also be matched with Italian 1490-1530s outfits. The sleeve puff is fixed with light cotton lining. Wide wrist bands follow the fashionable 16th century Renaissance silhouette as well.
The dress worn under the robe is available here.
